My Best Friend and I've Never Met

Together with most of my travel, it was hard to maintain a constant friendship. I have many friends, however we'd meet once a month approximately. But there's one friend that has always been there for the previous six years, also we've never actually met in person. That probably sounds strange to a lot of people, but social media was beneficial to one thing (besides finding ways to catch a cheater), it helped me to find my own bestie.

Social Media Marketing Friends

For many folks making friends on interpersonal media marketing is the only means they must meet new people. As people grow older, it can be much more difficult to locate people that they will have things in common with. But on interpersonal media, it's simple to find friends that one can bond with on the love of a television show, a devotion to dogs, or whatever other hobbies you may have.

I met with my best friend in a Facebook group for travellers. With all of my journeys and what else happening in my life, becoming out to social events was not going to occur. Therefore when I clicked together with another traveler who was on my side of earth in my own FB group, I was excited. Soon we were texting every day. We then started talking on the telephone and texting. And the friendship just grew from there.

Long Digital Friendship

Through time she has shared important milestones of my own life. She's always been there for me when I had to talk, or wanted to vent. We've got a weekly friend date at which we watch Lifetime movies or even a television show together on Skype or face-time and talk every thing going on.

I've been around on her too. Since her life has shifted and grown I have been there for the 3 AM horrified telephone calls when among those ways to catch a cheater actually worked and she proved her boyfriend had been unfaithful. Of course, the celebration when she got a new job. {After she got engaged, I was the next man that she told.

Online Friendships

The notion that online friendships aren't somehow as valid as in person friendships is foolish. Social networking gives us the possiblity to get in touch very deeply with different people. It's a convenient method to become familiar with people. Nowadays folks are so busy with life. All of us think it's not possible to carve out an hour to go have coffee or a drink with a new friend. It's easier to make time for face-book messages or online chats or texts.

But just because the way that individuals make friends has changed doesn't follow that the disposition of friendship has changed. Although my best friend and I have not met in person, I don't have any doubt that she's going to always be there for me personally. And I will always be there for her. We are finally meeting in real life though! When I fly to her hometown to help her select a wedding dress next month. I'm happy we found ways to catch a cheater and transferred her on to bigger and better stuff!
